Visitors

We have had quite the month of visitors. For Josh's birthday Gigi came in from PA (where she was for part of the summer) and Tony & Soheila came up from FL. We had a great time visiting with them. We always wish we had more time, but a grateful for the moments that we do have with them. Thursday night Tony and Soheila flew in and on Friday they along with Chris took the kids to the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum. It is a great museum and the kids loved it. I was sick and decided to stay home and rest as well as get the house ready for Josh's party the next day. Stink on being sick! Gloria came in on Friday. We all partied for Josh's birthday on Saturday (check out pics here). Sunday we went to the Three Cedars Farm and went pumpkin picking. We got pie pumpkins (which I later turned into pie glop and then a fabulous pumpkin pie...yummy!) Tony and Soheila left on Monday. :( After such a crazy weekend we took it easy. We stayed home and made pumpkin bird feeders. And Tuesday Gloria and I had our traditional shopping trip. (She doesn't have lots of room to travel with, so she gets the kids their presents when she gets here.) Phew! Just remembering all this makes me tired. Gloria left on Wednesday and it took a good 4 days or so for Olivia to realize that they were all gone. She kept asking for Gigi or Grandpa Tony or So-so. She still does. It was such a great weekend and I was glad that they were all able to come.

We love you and Miss you!

Josh's Birthday

I can't believe I have a one year old...okay well I have a one year old and two year old. I get some pretty funny looks when I tell people how old my kiddos are. The "you know how that happens, right?!" look. Josh turned one on October 8th. (I know that this is overdue, again it's the purple alligator.) We had a great time. Check it out.

It's been a while

Okay, so my computer got eaten by the purple alligator that lies under my bed. At least that is my excuse for not posting in forever.

September was a pretty busy month. We went back to our Cabin to celebrate my parents 30th Anniversary! Happy Anniversary! We had a great time. (of, course!) We did normal cabin-y things and had a blast.

Chris went to Florida to go to the FL v Tennessee game. Go Gators! He was gone for 5 nights so I was really excited when he got home. He got home on my birthday! I rushed off to MOPS (an organization at church, for moms of young kids. I am the assistant coordinator this year.) Phew! I was glad to be home that night! Just remembering it makes me tired.

Chris got me Phantom tickets for my birthday! What an awesome birthday present. It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! Paul and his girlfriend Lori went as well, but we didn't know it until about an hour before the show that they were going. So we meet up with them after and had coffee and desert. Best birthday ever!

Enjoy the pics!

Cabin Adventures

Last weekend we headed up to our family's cabin in Northern Michigan. Aaaahh! It was so wonderful to be there and to relax. This was our first time up as a whole family!!! Chris and I each went up last year, but at separate times. I loaded up the kids and the dog and headed out. Chris had to work in Lansing, so I picked him up on the way. We had such a wonderful time. The weather wasn't so cooperative, so we spent a lot of time indoors. But we still had a great time. (I don't think that you can go to the cabin and have a bad time!) Saturday it rained all day, we did manage to go to Ludington and go out to eat and walk around for a bit. We ran into Bill and Beth Hamway in a shop in Ludington! It was great to see them, I hadn't seen them in years and they are just such a fun couple. Sunday it finally warmed up (65) and stopped raining and Liv and I went for a walk. Olivia learned to identify acorns and deer tracks, she also like to make her own deer tracks. She spent most of our Cabin time pushing Josh in the stroller on the deck or playing in the loft.

Schwartz Family Reunion

The first Saturday in August is the Annual Schwartz Family Reunion. We drove down to Kenton, OH to take part in this glorious tradition. My Grandpa is one of ten kids, actually he is number 8 in the line, and it is the ten and their descendants that get together. We had a such a great time. There was the traditional volleyball, delicious food, the F.N.G.D.R.A

This was the first time that I had been able to attend the reunion since 2004! Chris and the kids had never been before, so this was quite the experience. We all had a blast. Olivia and Andrea became best buds. I mean the girls have the same shoes, sippy cup, and snack trapper...they were meant to be friends. We played cornhole, volleyball and just hung around an reconnected with everyone. It was a great time. We are so looking forward to next year!
